BARWON Coast has expanded its fully electric fleet, with a new lawn mower helping maintain some of its public spaces.
Not only is the lawn mower green in colour, it is also green by nature, helping the management authority care for the coast with less emissions.
Barwon Coast’s vehicles are already 100 per cent electric with the new lawn mower the latest to join the collection.
Barwon Coast chief executive officer Gareth Smith said the latest addition to their “Green Fleet” supports their commitment to sustainable and low-impact coastal management.
“The mower delivers strong performance with the added benefits of zero emissions, quieter operation, and lower maintenance.
“This makes it ideal for use in high-traffic areas along our coastal reserves, where we want to reduce disruption while caring for the environment.”
The mower will be used in maintaining public open spaces across Barwon Coast’s foreshore and caravan parks.
It will also compliment the organisations recent introduction of an electric housekeeping vehicle and their first electric passenger car.
“Together with our ongoing roll out of solar systems across key sites, these investments reflect our long-term commitment to reducing our carbon footprint,” Mr Smith said.
“Every choice we make, including the equipment we use, is part of how we care for the coast and lead by example in sustainable operations.”
