GEELONG’S favourite fashion and fundraising event, the 2022 Ena Pelly Catwalk4Cancer, is back and will celebrate the 30th anniversary of Barwon Health’s Andrew Love Cancer Centre.

The event, which will take place on Saturday, October 15, at the Geelong Arts Centre, will be proudly hosted by the Barwon Health Foundation and promises to be a night out for a worthy cause, assisting to provide better care for those facing cancer treatments in the Greater Geelong region.

Over its 30-year history, the Andrew Love Cancer Centre has touched the lives of thousands of local patients and their families by supporting adults experiencing cancer with world class treatment options, including radiotherapy treatment, chemotherapy, apheresis unit/stem cell collection, transplant clinic and haematology services.

Each year more than 2,400 people are diagnosed with cancer in the Geelong region, while more than 220 people are treated each week at the Andrew Love Cancer Centre Chemotherapy Day Ward.

All proceeds from the evening will be donated directly to Barwon Health’s Andrew Love Cancer Centre to assist the patients and their families during what is a difficult and extremely challenging period.

The event in 2022 will provide ticket holders with an immersive fashion experience, with plenty of exciting additions made to the event to celebrate the cancer centre’s significant 30-year milestone.

The region’s own Australian leading leather label, Ena Pelly, has signed on as the naming rights sponsor which will only elevate the fashion stakes of the popular event even further.

Local style guru Deni Todorovic will MC the evening, while there will be looks on display from Geelong retailers Tinky, Chez Ma Belle, Birdskin, Pearls & Roses and Salt & Soda.

Fashionwear on the night will be showcased by models from Duo Management while hair and makeup will be done by Tess Holmes.

Barwon Health Foundation executive director Zoe Waters said to date the event has raised over $380,000 in support of local cancer patients and their families.

“We have hosted 11 incredible Catwalk4Cancer events so far but 2022 is going to be particularly special thanks to the exciting new format and undeniable emotion of the 30th anniversary of Barwon Health’s Andrew Love Cancer Centre,” Ms Waters said.

“The centre has touched the lives of thousands of local patients and their families over three decades.

“If you or a loved one have had a connection to the service since its establishment, this is the event for you.”

A host of generous sponsors are on board for the highly anticipated return of the event, which has unfortunately not run since 2019 in line with pandemic gathering restrictions.

Geelong Arts Centre, Cancer After Care Group, Gartland, Charles Rose, Luminosity Skin MD, Aidacare and Igby Productions are just some sponsors of the 2022 event.

Tickets for the event include a full immersive fashion experience, canapes by RK Group, a drinks package and a gift bag valued at over $200.

Early bird tickets with a gift are sold out, however general admission passes still remain available at geelongtickets.com.au/event/ena-pelly-catwalk4cancer-16348
