Bellarine railway back on track after works

July 10, 2019 BY

End the school holidays with a trip on the Bellarine Railway, which recommenced last week after major works.

THE Bellarine Railway’s Heritage Train Service has restarted after being closed during June for major works.

The railway line was closed for the Drysdale Bypass road project, The Point land development works and internal track replacement.

A new timetable has been introduced along with names for each of the trips – a practice railways have done since the 1920s.

Trains depart Queenscliff at 10.45am, 2.15pm and 3.30pm, while trains depart Drysdale at 12.00pm and 4.35pm.

Online tickets are on sale will also be available (unless sold out prior) from Queenscliff and Drysdale Stations on train running days, July 11 and 14.
