Click and collect library resources via the mobile library service, which is operating to its usual schedule thanks to the Geelong Regional Library Corporation team.

GEELONG Regional Library members across the region can still stimulate their minds with library resources despite restrictions, thanks to the expansion of a click-and-collect initiative.

Geelong Regional Library Corporation (GRLC) has taken its convenient click-and-collect service on the road, via the popular mobile library buses.

Mobile library services will operate to their usual schedule and resources can also be ordered at any library, via the online catalogue or by calling any library.

GRLC has also taken a range of activities and events online while libraries remain closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Meanwhile, GRLC has placed its Draft Library Plan 2021-25 on public exhibition until next Thursday, September 16.

The plan provides a roadmap for the organisation’s operations for the next four years.

The regional service membership now includes the five G21 councils, the City of Greater Geelong, Borough of Queenscliffe, Surf Coast Shire, Golden Plains Shire and Colac Otway Shire, with the Dome, 18 community libraries, three mobile libraries and website.

Community members can view the plan on the GRLC website and make a submission before midday on September 16, which will be considered before the board adopts the plan.
