QUEENSCLIFF shoppers can go in the running for one of 50 gift cards just by supporting their local businesses.

The Borough of Queenscliffe has relaunched its 3225 Love Local Shop Local campaign to support traders during the summer season and in the lead-up to Christmas.

The council will give away five $50 gift cards each week until February 6 through the program, which began in April last year at the onset of the COVID pandemic.

Victorian shoppers can enter the giveaway by tagging a Queenscliff business where they’d like to spend their $50 gift card on Facebook or Instagram.

Full entry instructions are at the competition’s social media pages.

Borough mayor Ross Ebbels said the initiative would reward local residents and local businesses.

“After two years of lockdowns and restrictions, it’s never been more important to support small businesses and shop local,” he said.

“This program offers lucky winners the chance to get $50 off their next local shop and support our community at the same time.”
