Brave cancer survivor to headline Catwalk4Cancer
A MUCH-LOVED Geelong local will share her inspirational journey of beating cervical cancer at Westfield Geelong’s Catwalk4Cancer event.
Nicole Baumann will enthrall guests with her lifechanging story at the Barwon Health Foundation charity event on September 2 at the new look Geelong Arts Centre.
At the age of 21, Ms Baumann became the youngest Victorian at the time to be diagnosed with cervical cancer.
Her cancer battle saw her undergo surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation, which left her unable to have children.
Now cancer free, Ms Baumann and her husband, Mark are now on the life-changing journey to become parents via surrogacy.
Ms Baumann said she couldn’t wait to tell her story and help raise money for more locals so they can navigate their cancer journey with the best possible treatment and care.
“It’s so important to support your local Cancer health service. I’m really looking forward to sharing my story with Catwalk4Cancer guests next weekend and seeing Geelong’s fashionable community come out in force for a good cause.”
The night of fashion is slated to encapsulate both well-known and emerging local designers and brands, including Westfield Geelong, Pearls and Roses, Birdskin, Vow Studio, Sukii Boutique and pre-loved designer pieces from Cercle Lifestyle.
The event masters of ceremonies will be local business owners, turned podcast hosts, Demi Duncan and Melinda Baxter of Missta.
Local sponsors include Westfield Geelong, Geelong Arts Centre, Cancer After Care Group, Gartland, Charles Rose, Luminosity Skin MD and Ceres Life, Tess Holmes Makeup and IGBY Productions.
The $135 ticket price include the immersive fashion experience, canapés, a drinks package, gift bag and a donation to Barwon Health’s Andrew Love Cancer Centre.
