AUSTRALIAN financial firm Morris Business Solutions has worked with the Geelong Chamber of Commerce to launch the $25,000 Morris Business Class Finance Grant.

Anounced today (Friday, July 5), the initiative underscores Morris’s commitment to enhancing local business capabilities and promoting economic development in the Geelong region, and coincides with the Geelong Small Business Festival.

In a time where accessible funding and superior customer service are crucial, Morris says it understands the unique challenges faced by businesses in the region.

The $25,000 Morris Business Class Finance Grant aims to drive investment at a time when other funding streams for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) are very hard to find.

Morris is a trusted name in finance with more than 25 years of supporting businesses nationwide.

“We are really excited to hear how businesses may use this grant to stimulate business growth, enhance capabilities, and contribute to the economy,” Morris Business Solutions chief operating officer Damien Foster said.

“They may choose to scale operations, enhance business capabilities, upgrade technology, develop new products, invest in capital improvements, support business development or employee training.

“Whatever it is, Morris are keen to invest into SMEs in the local economy and see them thrive.”

Along with their role in co-delivering the Geelong Small Business Festival, the Geelong Chamber of Commerce have partnered with Morris to provide access to the chamber’s SME members, the wider Geelong SME community, and assist with grant assessment and fund disbursement.

“We are thrilled to partner with Morris, not only to co-deliver this grant but also grateful for their support as major sponsor of the Geelong Small Business Festival Launch event on August 8, held at The Pier, as well as sponsoring the festival’s Small Business Hubs across Geelong, The Bellarine and Torquay,” chamber chief executive officer Jeremy Crawford said.

“Morris is a shining example of a local business with nation-wide operations making a huge impact.

“Their passion for a thriving SME ecosystem and support of the Geelong Small Business Festival is testament to their purpose in delivering Business Class Finance to the region.”
