Carnival of Golf another resounding success

PORTARLINGTON Golf Club’s Carnival of Golf was a resounding success with about 1,000 golfers enjoying the course from August 25 to 31.

Club marketing manager Fiona Boswell said this was the 21st year the event had been held and it was very well received by all who attended.

“The course condition was superb and exemplifies why Portarlington continues to be in the top 100 courses in Australia,” Ms Boswell said.

Local lads Max Edmanson and Sam Beeston won the Bellarine Times 2-Person Ambrose event on the last day, which was fitting as it demonstrated the strength and growth of junior golf at Portarlington.

“We would also like to thank our ongoing sponsors who have supported the event,” she said.

“Without them and the many volunteers that assist our staff, the event would not be as successful as it is today.”
