THE Grove Pavilion was a spectacle of Santa hats, Christmas sweaters and reindeer ears on Sunday night as the Ocean Grove community gathered for the annual Carols in the Park.

Tash, Kobe, Chris and Judd were right into the Christmas spirit.

All four local schools, Surfside Primary School, Our Lady Star of the Sea, Wallington Primary School and Ocean Grove Primary School, scored some stage limelight, with the Geelong Symphony Orchestra (led by Hayden Dinse) and Geelong Harmony Chorus also performing.

City of Greater Geelong councillor Trent Sullivan embraced the action.

All door proceeds were forwarded to Debbie’s Place, a not-for-profit organisation providing support to teenage girls on the Bellarine who are at risk of not completing their VCE studies due to housing instability.

Pictured here is Ocean Grove family the Bakers, who weren’t afraid of pulling out the Christmas sweaters.
