AN annual charity golf day in Barwon Heads has raised almost $111,900, with funds going to the Kids Plus Foundation and Encompass Community Services.

Adroit Insurance & Risk hosted their 17th Annual Charity Golf Day at 13th Beach Golf Links on November 22.

Adroit, along with their community partners The Geelong Community Foundation, raised a new record fundraising amount of just under $111,898. Kids Plus Foundation will be the recipient of $90,000 (of the $100,000 2018 Adroit Charity Golf Day Grant).

The funds will be used to build a play space at their new facility due to open early 2020. Encompass Community Services Geelong will receive $10,000 which will be used to kick start their ‘Transition to Independent Living’ Project, for
Adults with a disability.

The balance will go to The Geelong Community Foundation.

Adroit Insurance & Risk’s Managing Director Andrew Locke said he was humbled by the record fundraising result.

“I am once again blown away by the support of so many businesses and organisations at this year’s Adroit Charity Golf Day,” Mr Locke said.

“The benefits from the funds we raised today are far-reaching, thanks to the great work of Kids Plus, Encompass Community Services and the Geelong Community Foundation.”

To date the Adroit Charity Golf Day has raised more than $1 million for Geelong causes and initiatives, which will have a long-lasting impact on many generations to come.

Adroit is extremely proud of what the day has achieved and would like to thank their staff, sponsors and community partners for the time and resources they volunteered to help reach this milestone.
