Chocolaterie’s festival still rocks on this month

May 4, 2020 BY

The chocolaterie will make its 31 different rocky road creations available to everyone at home.

THE Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie is giving one of their most popular events an online twist as it prepares to present its annual Rocky Road Festival throughout this month.

The chocolaterie is taking their celebration of the classic Aussie treat on the road this year, delivering their Rocky Road Festival sensations near and far to enjoy from home.

“Our annual Rocky Road Festival usually brings thousands of locals and visitors from all over Australia to our destination to enjoy our famous rocky road – but of course this year we had to bring it to life a little differently,” owner Leanne Neeland said.

The team of European chocolatiers have transformed the traditional mix of nuts, marshmallow and chocolate, handcrafting 31 different flavours of rocky road to order and enjoy online throughout May.

There’s the ultimate Rocky Road Festival Box of all 31 creations ready for delivery, or hit up the online ‘Pick & Mix’ counter to create your own four pack of hand-made blocks to devour at home. Flavours such as Golden Gaytime, Licorice Overload, Mint Madness, Unicorn Magic, Salted Caramel Popcorn and Honey Berry all made with the finest Belgian couverture will take the old-time favourite to new heights.

Best of all, the chocolaterie’s popular interactive Festival Tasting Sessions will still continue, but to a different beat.

Order a Rocky Road At Home Tasting Kit to recreate a self-isolating tasting experience of all things rocky – 12 rocky road sample bites, a divine rocky road truffle, a handcrafted rocky road bliss ball, a brownie and a rocky road hot chocolate whisk to create a rockin’ drink. There’s even your choice of chocolate and ingredients to make your own rocky road block.

Chocolatiers will also host specially scheduled Facebook Live sessions throughout May to talk you through each indulgence in the kits and help you make yours (the full program of dates and times will be announced via Facebook).

The Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie is offering Rocky Road Festival delights via ‘Click & Collect’ for nearby chocolate fans, or they’ll hit the road to deliver locally from Torquay to Anglesea and surrounds plus send carefully packed treats to their chocolate loving fans anywhere in Australia.

“Customers love the creative fun our European Chocolatiers bring to this classic Aussie treat so they’ve picked their favourites, the most popular from past Festivals and added in tempting new flavour sensations to discover online this year,” Ms Neeland said.

“We’re looking forward to sharing our At Home Tasting Kits most of all – our Tasting Sessions are always a big hit and we’ll be sharing this signature Chocolaterie experience with people at home for now via our Facebook Live Tasting sessions.”

The Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie remains open from 9-5pm – their showroom offers chocolates for contactless pick up, while take away and a range of take-home family meals plus sweet and savoury hampers can be ordered from their cafe. Head to gorci.com.au.
