Christmas cheer overflows at Warralily

December 20, 2017 BY

A LARGE crowd gathered for Warralily’s fourth annual Christmas Spectacular at the weekend.

ARIA-nominated and multi-platinum selling artist Nathaniel Willemse joined Michael Stangel (The Voice) and Sophie Katos (Packed to the Rafters) as part of the star-studded line-up that performed at Mirambeena Park, Warralily.

Warralily community development officer Kylie Pollock said that the Warralily Christmas Spectacular was growing each year, with a record crowd of more than 5,000 attending at the weekend.

“People took advantage of the opportunity to find some Christmas bargains among the stalls and enjoyed a range of free family activities.

“The huge crowd was entertained all day by amazing local performers, local schools, and some of our region’s best musicians, Michael Stangel, Sophia Katos and Nathaniel Willemse.

“The excitement certainly peaked as Santa arrived on a fire truck with sirens blaring and lights flashing, before the crowd relaxed to enjoy the rest of the evening.”

In conjunction with the carols, Warralily market offered an array of handmade gifts.

The spectacular was put together by the dedicated Warralily residents group.
