Club launches campaign to cool stadium

February 6, 2019 BY

Players, coaches and spectators are sick of sitting in a stadium where temperatures can reach as high as 35 degrees, and are campaigning for air-conditioning.

BELLARINE Storm Basketball has launched a campaign for much-needed air-conditioning at the Bellarine Sports Centre in Drysdale.

The association is aiming to raise $25,000 to install the air conditioning, which will benefit players, coaches, officials and spectators too.

Bellarine Storm Basketball has been the main user of the stadium for more than 20 years, which is owned by the Department of Education at Bellarine Secondary College.

The school has been very supportive of the association in seeking quotes to install the air-conditioning.

Through the fundraising partnership with the Sports Foundation, donations to this project are tax deductible and contributing is easy.
