Coastcare meeting to celebrate the great work of volunteers

October 24, 2019 BY

2019 has been a big year for Ocean Grove Coastcare members.

OCEAN Grove Coastcare will host its Annual General Meeting next week to celebrate the great work its volunteers have achieved this year.
“It will also be a chance to catch up, or to meet other OGCC members, and to learn something new,” president Margot Busch said.
“This will also be an ideal opportunity to pay your annual membership fee.”
During the meeting on Tuesday October 29, guest speaker Angie Poole, Coastal Program Leader at Bellarine Catchment Network, will talk about “When ‘yellow’ means ‘red’”.
“The current recycling issue, in which the contents of our recycling bins are going to landfill, has had many of us pondering our household waste options,” Ms Busch said.
“This situation, however, can actually be viewed as an opportunity to become more decisive and creative about the waste that comes into and leaves our homes.”
The meeting is at The Pavilion, Ocean Grove Park, and doors open at 6.30pm – the evening will finish at 8.30pm.
Bring $5 cash along to pay in person at the door.
