Cobras to kick off season with a gala day

The 2018 season is shaping up to be one of Collendina Cobras’ best yet, and will kick off with a family gala day on March 4.

OCEAN Grove Collendina Cobras is excited to officially launch its 2018 season with a fun family gala day.

The event on Sunday March 4 will include skills and fitness sessions, jumping castles, games, merchandise sales and the opportunity to register for the season ahead – Cobras Gala Day will celebrate all things junior footy.

OG Collendina Cobras president Shaun Stow said the Cobras Gala Day would be a great opportunity for the local community to get to know the club a little better and to get excited for the season ahead.

“The 2018 season is shaping up to be one of our best seasons yet with many exciting initiatives ahead, including our first ever female coaching appointment in Danielle Crabtree, new playing age groups, an interstate state of origin game to be played in Sydney and Ocean Grove Auskick coming under our banner.”

The Cobras Gala Day is at Collendina Oval, Minerva Close from 1-3pm.

Meanwhile, all coaching appointments have been finalised for the 2018 season, which kicks off on April 14.

The Under 9 co-coaches are Matt De Jong and Adam Heenan, Matt McCartney and Corey Andrews, Ross Greenfield and Mark Toley, and Tony Rolfs and Ryan Dodson.

The Under 10 co-coaches are Damien Clark and Ross Punchard, Darren Franken and Aaron Lehmann, and Zac Badrock and Danielle Knowles.

The Under 11 co-coaches are Craig Jeffrey and Brendan Confoy, and the Under 13 Co-coaches are Ross Norman, Colin Hunt and Neale Walter.
