Colourful connection at Christian College Geelong

Students, staff and family watch on at opening night.

IN a colourful exhibition showcasing the work of Christian College Geelong students from Kindergarten through to Year 12, the college invited the public to see its annual Art, Technology and Design Extravaganza on opening night last Friday. With thousands of pieces on show, the college believes the exhibition is an example of the creative learning that’s embraced across all five of its campuses, serving as an opportunity for students and staff to celebrate achievement. The college’s Art, Technology and Design Director Antony Benson said providing a platform for students to get creative was at the heart of the school’s values.

“Creativity in students is vital. It enables them to be ingenious, imaginative individuals who can find, pose and solve problems with an open mind; making connections, interpretations, taking risks, learning from mistakes and exploring new possibilities,” he said.
