BOROUGH of Queenscliffe locals will have a chance to hear from their council candidates at the Point Lonsdale Primary School tomorrow evening (October 4).

The ‘Meet the Candidates’ forum will feature presentations from Borough of Queenscliffe candidates Di Rule, Ralph Roob, Isabelle Tolhurst, Ross Ebbels, Lucille Colombo and Rob Minty.

Councillor Donnie Grigau and Brendan Monahan are both apologies for the evening.

PLCA president David Kenwood said the session will outline what candidates priorities are over the next four years.

“In the past Queenscliffe has largely been able to avoid political allegiances that beset other larger Councils, we can only hope that any candidates who are members of political parties, or align closely with them, declare that from the outset.

“We look forward to giving residents and ratepayers the chance to hear each candidate’s election platform and to ask them about local issues.”

The Point Lonsdale Civic Association will conduct proceedings in partnership with Queenscliff Community Association and Combined Bellarine Community Associations.

The event will kick off at 7pm inside the Point Lonsdale Primary School Hall on Bowen Road.
