Community rallies behind teen after he loses his mum

July 18, 2018 BY

THE local community is rallying behind a young Ocean Grove teen who lost his mother in a fatal house fire last week.

Dawn Webster, a much-loved teacher at Bellarine Secondary College, died when fire engulfed her Arcturus Road home last Monday night.

A gofundme page has since been set up to help support her 16-year-old son Xepheren, who has nothing left but the love and support of his immediate and extended family.

“We are limited with resources and ask that the community assist us helping support and care for Xepheren and his future,” the page says.

“We believe it is imperative for his wellbeing and future that he is able to finish school and rebuild his life with your help.

“Any donations would be greatly appreciated and accepted with the gracious kindness in which it is given.”

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Ms Webster will be held at Lyndon Grove Receptions, 131 Surf Coast Highway, Grovedale on Thursday July 26 at 1pm.

No flowers by request, however donations may be made to Xepheren’s Trust Fund in the memory of Dawn.
