Cottage raises $53,000 at annual race day
MORE than 140 guests helped raise $53,226 for Cottage by the Sea at the charity’s Annual Race Day.
The proceeds from last week’s event will enable more children to experience Cottage by the Sea’s programs at a time of increased need and increased costs.
Cottage by the Sea chief executive officer Adam Wake said the community’s support would help spread inspiration, fun and opportunity to those in need.
“We thank Roderick Insurance for their support as the key sponsor of Race Day.
“A ripple effect of this fundraiser was the creation of new corporate partnerships that will help us secure additional support to have more children attend our programs.”
More than 1,700 children and their families participated in Cottage by the Sea programs in 2023-24.
These numbers are expected to jump in 2024-25.
“An experience at Cottage by the Sea is literally life changing,” Mr Wake said.
“Our programs have and will continue to be waves that carry children and young people through their lives.”
