TWO local chief executive officers have been mixing it up at Queenscliff’s Cottage by the Sea thanks to some new equipment in the kitchen.

Bellarine Community Health recently donated a large number of industrial kitchen items, which are now being put to good use by Head Chef Marc Dean.

BCH chief executive officer Shane Dawson and Cottage by the Sea’s chief executive officer Tony Featherston got together recently to see what they could whip up with the donated kitchen items.

“The items were surplus to our needs but it’s great to be able to give them to an organisation that can put them to good use,” Mr Dawson said.

Among the donated kitchen equipment is an industrial-sized mixer and stand, various kitchen trolleys and other useful items that will assist staff to provide wonderful food for the 1,500 children who visit Cottage by the Sea every year.

“Cottage by the Sea is extremely grateful for the donation from Bellarine Community Health,” Mr Featherston said.

“Our organisation is here to enrich the lives of disadvantaged children and we couldn’t continue to do that without ongoing support from local organisations like Bellarine Community Health.”
