QUEENSCLIFF children’s charity Cottage by the Sea will host its biggest and longest running fundraiser tomorrow (January 13).

The Annual Fair will help to fund programs at the cottage, enhancing the lives of children and families undertaking respite holidays on the cottage grounds.

Originally an annual picnic event, the children’s charity has records of the fundraiser dating back to as far as 1924.

The annual fair will again feature a pop-up market selling jewellery, pots and plants and secondhand books as well as a host of food and beverage vendors.

Cottage by the Sea chief executive officer Adam Wake said the fair annually attracts thousands of people.

“Our Annual Fair has been operating for almost 100 years and is a chance for the community to all come together and grab some wonderful bargains, delicious fruit and veg, and have a fun day out at one of Queenscliff’s great locations,” he said.

“We look forward to a fantastic day.”
