More COVID-19 public exposure sites added

UPDATE 3.39pm: MORE public exposure sites have been added in the Geelong region in the 1.53pm update.

All sites are Tier 2, meaning if you have been to any of these sites at the dates and times listed, you must get tested and isolate until you receive a negative result.

September 12

Coles, Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre, Waurn Ponds, 8am-2.30pm (Case attended venue. Some individuals will be Tier 1 contacts required to quarantine for 14 days and the Department will contact them directly with this advice)

September 10

Coles, Ocean Grove – 5am-4.30pm (Case attended venue. Some individuals will be Tier 1 contacts required to quarantine for 14 days and the Department will contact them directly with this advice)

Decjuba, Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre, Waurn Ponds – 4.30-6pm

September 9

Coles, Ocean Grove – 10.30am-6pm (Case attended venue. Some individuals will be Tier 1 contacts required to quarantine for 14 days and the Department will contact them directly with this advice)

Pet Barn, Waurn Ponds – 9.35-10.30am

 

ORIGINAL STORY:

COVID-19 exposure sites continue to grow across the Geelong region, with new sites in Newcomb and Drysdale, and a Coles supermarket in Waurn Ponds at different tiers for staff and customers.

The two most recent sites in the region as of 12.52pm this afternoon are the McDonalds in Newcomb, on September 8 between 6.30-7pm, and Ocean Petroleum in Drysdale on September 7 between 4.30-5pm.

According to Barwon Health’s Facebook update of yesterday (Monday, September 13) of exposure sites in the region, the Coles inside the Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre on September 10 between 6am-noon is a Tier 1 site for staff and a Tier 2 site for customers.

On the same date, the Coffee Hit store at the Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre is a Tier 2 site between 11am-noon.

If you have been to any of these Tier 1 sites at the dates and times listed, you must get tested and isolate for 14 days:
