Coworking space welcomes public to ‘come and try’

July 3, 2021 BY

ANYONE interested in exploring the benefits of coworking is invited to a free ‘come and try’ week from July 5 in the new Workspace365 building in Torquay.

The event offers complimentary use of a flexi desk throughout the week and a range of events aimed at introducing the public and businesses to the impressive space now occupying part of the former Quiksilver HQ in Baines Crescent.

The Coworking Week begins with a mandatory sign-up session on Monday, July 5, from 9am to 2pm followed by a Q&A panel with guest speakers at 1pm.

Other activities during the week include a meditation workshop with Letitia Brooks of The Inbodied Self on July 6, a ‘Wine Down’ on July 7, ‘Lunch and Learn’ on July 8 and official launch on July 9 from 7.30pm.

Workspace365 general manager of leasing in Victoria, Irena Gershkov, said the week was designed to introduce the space to the community and it would be abuzz with activity.

“The whole idea of Coworking Week is to give people an opportunity to come and try before they buy and get a feel for not only the space itself, but also the community we are building there,” she said.

“Coworking, especially since COVID, is the new way a lot of people are choosing to work and we’ve seen there is a niche in the market in Torquay for the services we offer in terms of being a little bit more professional, a little more corporate.

“Now is a great opportunity to get in while it’s still fresh, while the community is establishing itself and you are coming in from the ground up.”

Workspace365 offers a range of serviced office and coworking solutions, meeting rooms, state-of-the-art facilities, a highly-skilled front of house team, and fast and secure internet with an IT manager on-site.

There is also access to a fully equipped kitchen, lockers and showers, as well as regular networking opportunities, a social event calendar and on-site dining options such as the recently opened Sou’West Brewery.

Ms Gershkov said Workspace365 was building a symbiotic environment where businesses collaborated and referred business onto one another.

“It’s about creating a cohesive environment where people actually enjoy coming into the office and it’s a professional environment,” she explained.

“People come and plug their laptop in, or plug their computer in, and away they go.

“As much as there is that social element, absolutely, it’s also designed to build professional networks and relationships where businesses are helping each other to grow.”

Workspace365 is located at 27 Baines Crescent in Torquay. To register your interest for the Coworking Week, which runs from July 5 to July 9, go to workspace365.com.au or phone 03 5296 0300.
