Dads ride the railway free this Father’s Day

Corangamite federal member Libby Coker takes a ride on the Portarlington Bayside Miniature Railway, which is free for dads this Father’s Day.

DAD’S can ride free on the Portarlington Bayside Miniature Railway this Father’s Day.
There will also be several Lucky Tickets drawn during the day and all you need do is buy a train ticket to ride.
“Let’s get everyone outside in the sun and have some playtime,” Vice President Brian Coleman said.
“A big thanks to all volunteers who forgo their own Father’s Day to help run our mini trains, they are priceless.
“Fingers crossed for lovely weather.”
The railway will run on Sunday September 1 from 11am to 3pm and is situated within the grounds of the Portarlington Bayside Family Park, Corner Point Richards and Boat Roads, Portarlington.
There is plenty of room at the park to run and play and get mum and dad up and joining in, plus bring a picnic lunch or have lunch on site.
There are picnic tables, seats, electric barbecues and toilets available on site.
