Dogs and their owners enjoy a day out

HUNDREDS of people and their four-legged friends took part in a jam-packed Dog Day Out at Wallington’s WRG on the weekend.

The event, which celebrated responsible dog ownership, featured Jimmy’s Dog Training demonstrations and dog-trick competitions, education and awareness of responsible dog ownership from City of Greater Geelong and free microchip checks.

There was also a sausage sizzle, pop-up coffee shop, free face painting and free showbags for the first 100 sociable dogs on a lead.

Organisers hailed the Dog Day Out as a great success with a wonderful turnout.
