DRYSDALE Autopro Classic Car & Bike Show organisers said Sunday’s event remained unscathed by poor weather as hundreds of restored vehicles filled the Bellarine town.

Lead organiser Michael Brislane said the 12th running of the car and bike show was well attended, with more than 300 visitors present at Drysdale Recreation Reserve.

St Leonards resident Shane Curtis.

“We were extremely lucky to doge the rain and because of that the crowd really filled out later in the morning,” Mr Brislane said.

“The cars in attendance were beautiful as usual and were lucky enough to see an abundance of new cars, ones we hadn’t seen before at the event which is always exciting.

“The Cruisin’ the Bellarine event held the previous night was also a huge success.

“We estimate more than a thousand residents were out on the streets to see the convoy drive past towns such as Portarlington, Indented Head and St Leonards.”

The car and bike show event, run annually as a fundraiser for the Drysdale Cricket Club’s junior program, featured over 200 restored cars and motorbikes from across the state in total.
