THE call-out is on for volunteers to “help put smiles on dials” at the first Disabled Surfing Association Ocean Grove branch meet next month.

The surfing program returns to Ocean Grove Main Beach on February 4, giving children and adults with varying disabilities the opportunity to catch waves and enjoy a day at the beach.

DSA Ocean Grove is hoping they can secure upward of 100 volunteers to assist with water safety and beach registration at the event.

The disabled surfing program helps those with varying disabilities catch waves and enjoy time at the beach.

Committee president Jeremy Swift said volunteers could help for a long or short amount of time, any assistance is welcomed.

“We are so excited to be returning to Ocean Grove beach and holding our events again,” he said.

“Putting smiles on dials is what we are all about and we need as many people as possible to help make our events happen.

“The days are super special to us all and such an amazing feeling being able to help others enjoy the stoke of surfing and catch a few waves.”

“We had very successful events in 2023 and are looking to build on that.”

The event will run from 8am to 12.30pm.

DSA Ocean Grove is also holding another session on March 3 for those unable to make the February meet.
