AN INVITE-only crowd got a sneak peek of what’s coming on stage next year as the Geelong Arts Centre launched its 2023 season of programs and events.

Titled “Our Season 2023”, the calendar has high-calibre works from several the nation’s most highly regarded companies, acclaimed homegrown talent and the brightest rising stars of the stage.

The invite-only event was held in the foyer of the Geelong Arts Centre.

The summer night soiree, held in the Geelong Arts Centre’s foyer, featured drinks, canapes and tantalising teasers of what is to come in 2023.

Cr Jim Mason from the City of Greater Geelong, Lynne Mason and Cr Owen Sharkey from the Golden Plains Shire.

These included live performances from Helpmann Award winner Lucy Durack, who will be appearing in the season’s opening show Leading Ladies on February 17, alongside Caroline O’Connor and Silvie Paladino and backed by John Foreman’s 30-piece Australian Pops Orchestra; and local baritone Stephen Marsh, who performed in a nod to Opera Australia’s The Barber of Seville: Rossini in late August.

Lucy Durack gave a preview of her appearance in Leading Ladies next year.
