THE Queenscliff Bowling, Tennis and Croquet Club (QBTCC) is hosting their sixth annual Easter Eggstravaganza in support of the Good Friday Appeal.

The event held on Good Friday (April 19) from 11am is a major fundraiser, raising $38,125 last year for the Royal Children’s Hospital with something for the whole family.

Children will have a ball with loads of activities to entertain them, including a jumping castle, craft station, face-painting, handball competition, netball shootout, bunny bowling and the main event; Easter egg hunts in age groups.

There’s an egg hunt for the kids alongside the ever-popular adult hunt for mums and dads. Parents and grandparents will also be well entertained with market stalls, auctions, silent auctions, raffles and live music.

Enjoy a spectacular seafood menu along with a kids’ snack shack, hot cross buns aplenty and an outdoor bar to keep you refreshed throughout the day.

Every dollar raised on the day goes to the Good Friday Appeal, with no recovery of staging costs associated with the event to diminish the fundraising total achieved on the day.

QBTCC manager Rod Wayth said they were once again appealing for volunteers to help them stage this year’s event.

“Volunteers are needed for set up, pack up and a range of other roles on the day. As always, we need donations of goods, services, vouchers, raffle or auction items and dare we say it, eggs.

“We gave away over 20,000 eggs last year and we are doing it all again this year. In the last five years, the event has raised $158,066 for the Appeal.

“To be a part of this year’s event and help us continue this great work people can register their interest with myself, or assistant manager Esther Bondin.”
