MORE than 100 residents and guests enjoyed a day of Elvis, fundraising and great food, wine and company at the Bellarine Springs Retirement Village on Wednesday, July 30.

Elvis was a huge hit with many attendees getting on the dancefloor and singing along, including John Clarke who joined in on the guitar.

(L-R) Penny Forbes, Judy Knights, June Hansen and Gloria Kivinets attended the annual fundraising event.

The award-winning performer, Damian Mullin was the man behind the Elvis voice and classic moves, with many residents and visitors thanking him after the show.

The event was held by Bellarine Springs in conjunction with the Drysdale VIEW Club to raise funds for the Smith Family’s Learning for Life program for underprivileged children.

Michael Morgan, Bellarine Springs’ Fiona Olin and Drysdale VIEW Club’s Diane Irons.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and guests, the event raised more than $3,000 to support underprivileged children with school essentials and educational needs.

The annual event has been running for the past three years, each year getting bigger and raising more funds for local families and children in the area.

Mullin will don the Elvis outfit again on December 6 at the Geelong Arts Centre when he takes to the stage with the Australian Symphony Orchestra and Peter Byrne, who will pay tribute to Neil Diamond.
