Enjoy summer by the sea activities

December 19, 2018 BY

Summer by the Sea is an initiative run by Coastcare which aims to encourage people to discover Victoria’s precious marine and coastal environments.

THIS January will be the eighth year that Bellarine Catchment Network has partnered with local groups and organisations to deliver a variety of free Summer by the Sea activities.

Summer by the Sea is an initiative run by Coastcare between January 2 and 26 and aims to encourage people to discover Victoria’s precious marine and coastal environments.

For the past seven years, BCN has facilitated activities such as beachcombs, rockpool rambles, craft activities, mollusc surveys and interactive “Coastcare” games.

This January, feel the texture of a sponge, learn the difference between a herbivorous and carnivorous snail, search for intertidal animals, create something crafty and appreciate our beautiful coastline.

There are 24 activities around the Geelong and Bellarine areas with many of them being facilitated by Bellarine Catchment Network.

Activities are free and you can register online, visit summerbythesea.vic.gov.au/whats-on? or email [email protected].
