THE LIST of exposure sites across the region has grown to include additional Tier 1 and Tier 2 sites.

In addition to Torquay and Newcombe exposure sites previously reported, further sites across the greater Geelong region have been identified including: The Good Guys, South Geelong, August 18; Caltex Woolworths Bellarine, Newcombe, August 24;  Woolworths Geelong West, August 18.

For additional sites see the table below or visit www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/exposure-sites

Anyone who has COVID-19 symptoms or has been to an exposure site should get tested, and follow the Department of Health’s instructions.

Barwon Health is working with the Department of Health to investigate and contact tracing is underway. People who have visited a Tier 1 site should also fill out the self-assessment form or call 1300 651 160.

Pop-up testing sites are located at Deakin University, Waurn Ponds (Peter Thwaites Lecture Theatre, Alfred Deakin Drive), the Geelong Showgrounds (enter via Gate 2, Breakwater Road), and Beckley Park, Broderick Road, Corio.

Barwon Health’s testing sites have extended hours to cater for increased demand and the community is encouraged to attend the site closest to them if they need testing.
