The Easter Festival of Extraordinary Music is coming to Queenscliff tomorrow (Saturday, March 30).

The festival will bring together and showcase the talents of Kylie Morrigan, Carly Wilding, Mal Webb, Phil Hungerford and Andrew Clermont.

The musicians will play a range of instruments including the fiddle, violin, guitar, ukulele, and more, as well as plenty of vocals.

Organiser Sally Hawkins said eventgoers can look forward to hearing a range of different music from rock ‘n’ roll to folk and “real blow your mind music”.

“It gets into your soul, it’s quite uplifting, so I just love getting there and closing my eyes, lapping it up,” she said.

“I’d just love to see people all get together and enjoy the music.”

Wilding and Morrigan will bring their harp and fiddle to the performance.

Andrew Clermont is a three-time bluegrass guitar champion, an inductee to the South Australia Music Hall of Fame and has a lifetime achievement award with the Golden Fiddle Awards.

He said the event was all about brining extraordinary music to the people, with a more ground based and earthy tone.

“It’s not going through multiple mega companies and such, it’s just the musician to the people with no in between.

“People are used to all this other stuff that’s on the radio which is a small part of what actual music goes on in the world, and here’s the chance to see what happens in the rest of the world.”

Kylie Morrigan and Mall Webb have played at the Glastonbury Festival several times.

The musicians have a wide range of experience, winning awards and playing at festivals such as Glastonbury Festival.

Mr Clermont has performed around the world including in Taiwan, Canada and the United States.

“We’re bringing elements from all those places right to Queenscliff in a way that probably won’t be seen again and hasn’t been seen before,” he said.

It’s intended the festival will be held outside, attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs, picnic rugs, drinks and food.

The event will run at The Old School Hall, Queenscliff from 3pm to 6pm
