WALLINGTON Primary School’s Strawberry Fair drew crowds from near and far at the weekend.

With the weather in their favour, the usually quiet primary school was filled with thousands of people who flocked to get their hands on some delicious strawberry delights.

The main stage was pumping all day with talented local artists entertaining the crowds, while there was plenty of food on offer, with the much sought-after choc-dipped strawberries, pavlovas and homemade strawberry lemonade all selling out before the end of the fair.

“We were so lucky again to have the weather on our side, making for great conditions for a perfect day out,” organisers said.

“There was a sprinkling of rain that made us a little nervous, but it was just enough to settle the dust and the fair went on.

“We want to thank everyone who came along on the day to support our fair and also to those who give their time and goods so generously – our fair couldn’t survive without the kindness of all these great people.

“The funds raised will be going to the resurfacing of our basketball/netball courts, which will excite the children of Wallington to no end.”
