Fake fifties circulate in Grove

FAKE fifty dollar notes were circulating around Ocean Grove last week.

Driftwood Café owner Rachael Simons took to Facebook with a warning to fellow business owners and shared photos of the evidence.

“They are pretty good too, and at first glance hard to spot,” Mrs Simons said.

“They are easy to scratch, the signature is a little fuzzy, and if held to the light there is no kangaroo and emu watermark.

“We have already had $200 worth between Saturday and Tuesday!”
