THE Potato Shed’s free Family Fun Day will celebrate its 10th anniversary next month.

Make your way to the shed and help kick off Children’s Week 2018 with a program of events designed to appeal to the young and young at heart.

Bring a rug and a picnic basket or purchase food from one of the fantastic food vans on the day while you get amongst it with the young ‘uns when crowd favourites The Mik Maks hit the main stage.

Or, relax while listening to a session of storytelling, jump your jiggles out on the jumping castles, pull off some rad tricks on the skate park, and there will even be a pantomime.

Join in a workshop to create a puppet out of recycled materials or get your face painted– there is so much to do at the Family Fun Day.

City of Greater Geelong mayor Bruce Harwood said the free Family Fun Day was one of the Bellarine’s most popular community events and the 10th anniversary would be bigger and better than ever.

“We’re very proud to support this community event that celebrates a fantastic venue with free entertainment and a taste of what’s on offer at the Potato Shed.

“If you haven’t been before, make sure you get along on October 21 and enjoy all the family activities.”

As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations there will also be a special performance of Super Amazing Giant Girl – a hilarious parable exploring the challenges of fitting in when you’re a Super Amazing Giant.

Action packed and interactive, this theatre show for kids combines thrilling circus, absurd comedy and ingenious physical theatre.

Super Amazing Giant Girl is direct from sold-out shows in Melbourne, Adelaide and Castlemaine. Bookings are essential.
