Farm planning workshop coming to Lake Bolac
FARMERS have the opportunity to develop an information rich digital map of their farm as part of Agriculture Victoria’s FarmPlan21 program at Lake Bolac this winter.
Learning how to use free mapping software to develop a map of your farm is one of many benefits of undertaking this program.
The course, which is delivered one day per week over six weeks, guides farmers through the process of creating or updating a whole farm plan and setting realistic goals for their businesses.
The FarmPlan21 course will be held at Lake Bolac Golf Club from 9.30am to 3pm on July 17, 24 and 31 and August 7, 14 and 21.
Sessions will include presentations from guest speakers, as well as visits to local farms.
The cost to take part is being subsidised by Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority through the Our Catchment Our Communities (OCOC) project and is just $75 per business with lunch provided.
