Fashion for a purpose raises thousands
Orgnaised by Bellarine Boss Babes, comprising Sarah Donaldson, Jessica McKenzie and Tarryn Stanley, the April 27 event included five local businesses showcasing their latest range of fashion.
Ms Donaldson said it was a fabulous day with more than 100 tickets sold.

“The feedback from our attendees was that the day was warm, inviting, fun and had a mix of night time glam and everyday war, which was really relatable to the everyday women.
“Cookie Robinson sung to our attendees as they entered which bought a soulful presence to the event.

“Cookie’s performance added a unique layer to the fashion showcase, as she complemented the event’s atmosphere.”
Feed Me Bellarine catered the event, providing a colourful grazing board, which was another hit for guests.
The total fundraising total for the Empowerment Challenge is still being finalised, but it is estimated about $6,000 will be donated.

The Empowerment Challenge aims to reduce issues around parenting difficulties through programs, with the goal of reducing dependency on welfare services and helping young women find satisfaction and strength in parenting.
“I am blown away by the generosity of our town, the fashion stores involved, our models and close friends who rallied around to make this such a success,” Ms Donaldson said.

“I couldn’t have done it without them or Jess McKenzie and Tarryn Stanley.”
Event organisers are planning on bringing Fashion for a Cause back in 2026.
