Fashionable fundraiser to return to Geelong

TICKETS are now on sale for one of Geelong’s most anticipated fashion fundraising events.

The Ceres Life Catwalk4Cancer is set to illuminate the Geelong Arts Centre on August 16.

Now in its 15th year, the event combines cutting-edge fashion, community spirit and vital fundraising for lifesaving cancer care at Barwon Health’s Andrew Love Cancer Centre and Cancer Services.

Catwalk4Cancer will showcase the latest collection from a curated lineup of both established and emerging local designers.

Brands on show will include Westfield Geelong, HUSK Geelong West, Cercle Lifestyle, Lord’s Design Menswear, Pearls and Roses Bridal, Pearls and Roses Lifestyle, Birdskin.

The runway will feature a dazzling illumination theme, using innovative light projects to amplify every garment’s texture, movement and colour.

Adding to the star power of the evening, will be the inclusion of well-known TV personality and singer Gorgi Coghlan, who will be the event MC.

Her connection to Barwon Health is quite personal, with her brother Nigel Rendell presently receiving care at its cancer services.

Barwon Health Foundation executive director Zoe Waters said Catwalk4Cancer is much more than just a fashion show.

“This year, we’re thrilled to partner with Ceres Life to present a special event that combines on-trend designs with a powerful purpose.

“Every ticket purchased helps fund critical cancer services right here in Geelong, bringing hope and care to countless local families.

Ceres Life general manager Stephanie Nolan echoed her excitement for the fashion fundraising extravaganza.

Tickets are $100 for the event and include access to the live runway show, delicious canapes, two complimentary drinks and a stylish gift bag.
