Faye to exhibit Here, There and Anything
“HERE, There and Anything” is the theme of an upcoming exhibition of work by Faye Owen that will be held in Portarlington from this weekend.
Award-winning artist Faye has had a long creative career and has more recently been teaching art classes at The Heights National Trust property in Newtown.
To be held in the historic National Trust Property “The Portarlington Mill” between January 12 and 28, the exhibition will feature Faye’s versatility with work in pastel, oil and other mediums, as well as variety of subject and style.
There will be a free opening event on Saturday January 12 (same day as the Mussel Festival) from 2pm to 4pm with refreshments.
Also Meet and Greet the artist on Sunday January 13 with drinks and nibbles between 11am and 4pm.
Come to see the exhibition and the inside of the Mill, which was built in 1857 from locally quarried stone.
It will be open daily from 11am until 4pm until the end of the long weekend on January 28.
Except on the opening day there is a National Trust entry charge to the Mill of $5 per adult, $3 for a child or concession; $12 per family and free for National Trust members.
