Port Phillip Ferries has announced a partnership with the Geelong Racing Club (GRC) for this year’s bet365 Geelong Cup.

In celebration of the race, Port Phillip Ferries has put together a selection of packages that include event access, return ferry tickets from Docklands, and shuttle bus access connecting the Geelong Ferry Terminal to GRC.

Take a fast ferry from Melbourne and arrive in style.

With large inside and outside seating, accessible toilets, and a licenced cafe on board, you can start your day with a glass of bubbles as you cruise across the bay directly to Geelong.

Shuttle buses have been arranged to take you to and from the races, and after your day you can take the easy way home and enjoy a cold beer or wine as you cruise across the bay back to Melbourne.

The General Admission Package includes:

  • Return adult ferry tickets from Docklands
  • Return shuttle bus access from Geelong Ferry Terminal, and
  • Entry into the Geelong Cup General Admission area.

Overlooking the Winning Post, the Furphy Trackside Package is the perfect place to enjoy Cup Day.

Sit back, relax and enjoy a delicious Tuscan lunch and drinks while experiencing the best view of the race action.

Perfect for groups of friends, family or colleagues, this marquee offers a fun and friendly atmosphere.

The Furphy Trackside Package includes:

  • Return adult ferry tickets from Docklands
  • Return shuttle bus access from Geelong Ferry Terminal
  • Entry to racecourse and Furphy Trackside Pavilion
  • Reserved seating at tables of 10
  • Tuscan lunch menu served to your table
  • 5-hour beverage package (beer, wine, sparkling, cider and soft drink)
  • TVs throughout the marquee
  • A racebook
  • Private betting facilities, and
  • Private bathroom facilities.

The Geelong Cup is fast becoming one of the most important lead-up horse races to the Melbourne Cup.

It is where form is put under the microscope and legends are made – none greater than the 2002 Geelong Cup and its pivotal role in the triumphant story of jockey Damien Oliver, Irish trainer Dermot Weld, and horse Media Puzzle.

Racewear attire is encouraged for both men and women on Geelong Cup Day. Men should dress smart casual with a jacket and/or tie to be worn at all times. No shorts, T-shirts, denim, runners or thongs will be permitted in any members areas.
