Finance facts in February with Crowe Horwath
AFTER a successful launch in late 2017, Crowe Horwath, Bellarine Property and Vines Lawyers, are hosting another Women and Finance event on February 22 at Napona Restaurant in Ocean Grove.
Held as a cocktail party event with free drinks and savouries, the idea is to educate local women from Ocean Grove, Bellarine and the Surf Coast about a range of finance, legal and property issues to help boost investments and long-term security for retirement.
Local Financial Planner and superannuation expert from Crowe Horwath, Connie Caccamo, will explain in simple terms:
- How much superannuation do you need to retire on?
- How does superannuation work and what are your superfund choices, including running your own self-managed superannuation fund?
- How far will employer contributions take me, do I need to make additional personal contributions and what are the self-employed superannuation requirements?
- What you need to do now to maximise your lifestyle in retirement.
Senior accountant from Crowe Horwath Jennifer Close will give an overview on the pros and cons of using family trusts for investing and business purposes for those who may be sceptical about superannuation.
Legal specialist Melanie Crowe from Vines Lawyers will follow up on her initial discussion at the launch with an explanation on the benefits of using testamentary trusts, and estate agent Peta Walter from Bellarine Property will give you a local market update including projections for 2018 and beyond.
This session will offer a general overview and clarity on issues you may not be aware of and will provide the opportunity to ask questions and have any queries clarified.
