YARN is so much more than crochet, knitting or craft. Yarn is friendship, community, sharing, giving, caring, loving, gifting — it’s soothing, soft, squishy goodness.

Founded in 2018, Yarn Me Calm quickly outgrew its home-based beginnings, built on the simple belief that kindness, care and respect matter. Every call, every message, every parcel is a reminder that people come first.

Yarn Me Calm isn’t just about selling beautiful yarns from around the world — it’s about the therapeutic benefits of creativity, connection and calm.

With a background in youth work, developmental trauma and family therapy, Andrea has always been passionate about healing and connection. Combining that with her love of yarn felt natural — both are about creating warmth, patience and comfort.

Yarn has been Andrea’s therapy for a long time. She finds peace and joy in her yarn stash — touching, admiring and imagining.

Sometimes she doesn’t even need to pick up a hook; just feeling the fibre is enough to restore calm. That’s the magic she wanted Yarn Me Calm to share, a place where people feel seen, supported and inspired.

Yarn Me Calm is a hub for yarn lovers. It’s a celebration of creativity, connection and care.

Andrea is also a passionate designer, crocheter and proud committee member of the National Crochet Guild Australia, the local agricultural show as well as the coming Geelong and Bellarine Yarn Show.
