Fire and Ice to culminate in Queenscliff
THIS winter, Searoad Ferries are collaborating with the Queenscliff Music Festival and Borough of Queenscliffe to deliver a new and exciting fire and ice themed event that will recognise the beauty of winter in the Borough.
‘Nightide’, on June 24 at Queenscliff Foreshore, will provide a magical experience that includes vibrant performances, visual spectacles and delicious food and wine.
The foreshore will come alive with fire sculptures, music and portable ice baths to celebrate the winter solstice.
As locals meander through the foreshore activities, they’ll also be able to hear a mix of dramatic soundscapes which will provide an insight into the physical and emotional environment of the area, including the nearby ocean.
Searoad Ferries CEO Matt McDonald said the event would be “one of a kind” and embrace the spirit of winter by bringing the community together.
“Through our collaboration with Queenscliff Music Festival and the Borough of Queenscliff we aim to create a memorable experience that showcases the beauty of the village and ignites a sense of wonder in all who attend.”
For those wanting a more relaxing and comfortable experience, a private fire and ice themed ticketed dinner event, ‘Glacial Ember’ will also be hosted by executive chef Michael Demagistris and head chef Ryan James nearby at the TARRA restaurant on the night.
The evening of events will conclude with a spectacular operatic sky finale, fireworks and a performance from multi-award-winning soprano Lee Abrahmsen.
Nightide is free to attend and kicks off at 4pm.
