First “Pinnacle” lots sold at top auction event
TWO lucky bidders were fortunate enough to purchase land lots at Gen Fyansford’s new “Pinnacle Newtown” land release over the weekend, marking the first of 33 remaining lots to be sold as part of the new development.
Offering some of Geelong’s best views of Fyansford, Newtown and Highton, the largest of the lots, measuring 1,26sqm was sold for $900,000. A 1048sqm lot sold for $875,000.
Mr Boon Kweh, one of the successful bidders, said the location of the land and its accessibility to schools and other Geelong hotspots attracted him to the auction.
“We have been looking for a while for land with views on a level, non-sloping block. The block we purchased today gives us that, complete with million-dollar views. We currently live in Highton, so our new home is close to the nearby school our two boys attend, and it is just a quick drive to Pakington Street.”
Once the last call was announced and the purchases were finalised, the successful bidders boarded a complimentary helicopter ride from the developer to commemorate their new home and its panoramic views of Geelong.
RPM Real Estate Group sales director Rod Anderson said the helicopter ride was included to celebrate the purchase and its location.
“The helicopter rides highlighted the large lot sizes, stunning views and unique proximity to central Geelong and the coast, emphasising to the new owners what a great purchase decision they had just made,” he said.
The joint developers, ICD Property and Supalai, were excited to see the first two lots sold.
“With the first two lots being snapped up so quickly and the strong interest to date, we expect to see high demand for the remaining 33 lots,” ICD Property’s managing director Michael Mai said. “The views are spectacular. The land is located on top of the Newtown hillside with an outlook to the south and west, arguably offering the best views in Geelong.
“Residents are just 10 minutes from central First “Pinnacle” lots sold at top auction event Geelong, close to established schools and enjoy unprecedented views of the surrounding river and extensive parklands, including the picturesque Queen’s Park.”
