Footy festival kicks on in Torquay North
THE footballs were flying in Torquay North over Easter as the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) hosted a Festival of Footy.
Held at Banyul-Warri Fields on Saturday, the event featured football clinics, jumping castles, face painting and food trucks, as well as music from Callan Young and The Mik Maks (in what may turn out to be one of their last performances for some time).
The event was part of the TAC’s Towards Zero Footy Festival across the long weekend, which included the BFL game on Good Friday and the VFL game on Easter Sunday.
