Free fun for kids at Bellarine Village
BELLARINE Village Shopping Centre is hosting its second annual Community Fun Day this weekend.
Free activities are on offer and prizes are up for grabs on Saturday, March 24 from 9am.
Bellarine Village will have lots of fun for the kids, including face-painting, hula hoops, bubbles, balloons, crafts, ‘New Kids on the block’ building blocks, Play-Doh, live music and more.
Meet some firefighters and view a CFA fire truck between 10am and noon (pending the fire situation).
A handball station will be set up inside the centre to practice ball skills in the lead up to the footy season.
Grab a bite to eat at the sausage sizzle hosted by the Newcomb footy club.
Check out the amazing Robot built by Christ the King primary students, while Newcomb Primary and Whittington Primary are holding an art exhibition with 60 paintings from their talented students portraying the theme “what does my community look like?”
The day offers a great opportunity to connect with other members of the community and to find out what activities are on in the area.
City of Greater Geelong councillors will be answering questions along with the Rotary Club, the Men’s Shed, the Flying Doctor Service, Bellarine Railway and Ingenia Gardens retirement village.
There will be food tasting at Woolworths and free blood pressure tests at Peak Pharmacy.
Bay FM/KRock will also be on site all morning with a live cross covering events.
Prizes up for grabs include passes on the Port Phillip Ferry and on the Bellarine Railway, Woolworths vouchers, Peak Pharmacy giveaways, Barwon Water bottles and more.
