SURFSIDE Primary School’s Fresh Food Fair brought hundreds of locals young and old together last week for a festive evening of food, music, market stalls, rides and more.
The school’s biggest event of the year on Friday was a spectacular twilight event for the first time, which created a very special carnival atmosphere.
There were reptiles, a silent auction and mini golf, plus stalls offering preserves, lemonade and bees wax wraps.
There was also hair colouring and braiding, face painting, a spinning wheel, lucky dips, craft activities, a dunk bucket, showbags and cup cake decorating.
The fair is a community event that raises money for the school’s Kitchen and Garden program.
