STUDENT talent, market stalls, rides and more will fill the grounds of Surfside Primary School for its Fresh Food Fair on Friday, November 7.

The annual event is the school’s major fundraiser for the year, with all funds going towards supporting the school’s kitchen and garden program.

The unique program allows students to get hands-on experience in cooking and gardening, with the purpose-built commercial kitchen and award-winning garden.

Surfside Primary School’s Stacey O’Keefe said the Fresh Food Fair is more than just a fundraiser.

“This celebration brings together our school and the wider community to highlight our students, our school and our shared commitment to sustainability and local produce.

“Expect an evening bursting with food, music, games, market stalls and endless fun for all ages.”

A highlight on the school’s event calendar, the fair features a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, made up of the traditional cake stall packed with sweet treats.

Carnival rides will return to the annual event this year, bring fun and entertainment for families.

Talented students will also take to the stage with live entertainment from the school band and talent showcase.

The school band will be joined by Fab Foundation 4, Agency Black, Ange Rogers, Caught in the Crossfire and Justin, Tad, Ike and Co.

Every class will contribute to the running of the fair, getting behind their own market stalls for the afternoon including side-show games, lucky dips, face painting, the dunk bucket challenge and more.

On the main oval, families can enjoy carnival rides and a petting zoo.

The fair will run from 3.15pm until 7.30pm with tickets for carnival rides available by heading to Surfside Fresh Food Fair Facebook Page.
