Fundraising items to go under the hammer for club
THE Portarlington Demons Football and Netball Club will later this month host its single biggest fundraising event of the year.
The club’s annual Goods and Services Auction will be held at the clubrooms at Portarlington Recreation Reserve on July 21.
“We are a self-funded club meaning we must raise all the money needed for playing and training equipment for all divisions of football and netball,” fundraising director Linda Shaw said.
“For this great club to continue to grow and provide our local families with great club facilities and equipment we need to fundraise and we are asking everyone associated with th club for their help.”
Ms Shaw said people could donate an item/s to be auctioned or assist with the event.
“We are in need of auction items for the evening so if you own or work in a business that could possibly donate something it would be greatly appreciated.
“Families can also donate something, even something small would be fantastic as we can bundle things together to make up packs.
“Examples could include wine, chocolates, movie tickets, vouchers and gift cards.”
The event will start after the game against Drysdale at 5.30pm.
Meanwhile, a Sponsors Day event will be held on the same day between 11.30am and 2pm, and is an opportunity for the club to thank its wonderful sponsors for their support and commitment.
There will be food and drinks provided and sponsors are invited back after the game for some VIP drinks and the Goods and Services Auction.

There will be food available and some great items up for auction. Kids are most welcome to attend the event.
